Big Rise in Crime

1) How crime is recorded changes regularly so often we are not comparing like for like.
2) The physical police presence has been markedly reduced.
Whilst I don't doubt that crime is on the increase, I remain unconvinced that we are actually seeing a 'big' increase.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
