    Default Spring

Is it me, or does spring seem to be happening early this year? I saw my first daffodils blooming in sheltered spots at the end of last week, buds on trees have been swelling for a couple of weeks, and even the rhubarb on my allotment has already started sprouting!

Yes, I have some daffies pushing up too. Snowdrops and crocuses have been out for a few weeks.
The birds are chirping like mad in the mornings. And it is feeling milder, though we had some rain to day. It seems the garden has been wet all year round.

Quite a change in the weather, hurricane force winds have brought down fences in our area!

My old Dad used to say of March, in like a lion, out like a lamb! Looks like it's at least starting that way this year.

We've had one fence panel come down. I waited until the wind had subsided a little then popped it back into place. My biggest worry was the dog deciding to go for a wander into next door's garden. - Not that likely as he doesn't like wind.
