Seriously, has the guy been value for money? What has he actually achieved?
He's probably done a lot of work in the background, but I've always wondered what the PCCs do that the Police Authorities didn't?
Very little I suspect Lex. I always thought it was yet another level of bureaucracy for the tax payer.
2 candidates have stepped forward to fill Mr Ball's shoes; 1 with 35 years experience with the force, and 1 who wants policing on the cheap (bet you can't guess which one I prefer ): http://www.rugbyadvertiser.co.uk/new...otes-1-7175384

Yes, I have a problem with those with no experience standing for such office.
One of my cousins stood to be a Labour MP whilst he was still wet behind the ears. - Thankfully, he lost his deposit. There is an old saying, "Quick, hire a teenager while they still know everything!" - Very true in my experience!
I've come across kids like this all the time - self important little twerps who only seem to shout louder the more prople ignore them.

The Lib Dem's candidate had been announced too: http://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/...-pcc-election/
Neither of the last two links tell me anything like enough to vote for the candidate. I begin to despair at the lack of information available about candidates for public office.
Not a lot of information yet, but no doubt we'll get more than enough before long. Have you heard anything about the West Midlands PCC election Rebbonk?
Not a dickie bird.
I actually heard the 1st bit of news about the WM PCC today - Jeremy Corbin was in Brum, something to do with the Labour candidate, but I stopped listening when I heard his names mentioned!
