You are correct, Lex. I knew that pre-owned empty properties were subjected to this, but wasn't aware of new builds. - You learn something every day!
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

500 homes for Stratford's 'Canal Quarter'; 'Packed in like sardines' comes to mind: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...neration-zone/

Not the best of ideas, is it? Schemes like this have come adrift before, I hope this one doesn't.

Unfortunately, these 'dubious' figures have had an outfall on the wider Warwickshire area. The figures have been held in question for quite a while now but nobody seemed prepared to question the ONS.

!00 houses for Napton. The objections could be overcome by imptovements to infrastructure (which may or may not happen) https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...o-ahead-41670/

That is a lot of housing! I hope the supporting infrastructure is provided.

A development at Warwickshire Police HQ has been kicked out: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...own-out-again/

The developer will have to increase its 'donation' to council funds.

God knows where the 10,200 homes for Stratford figure has come from; the population of the district can't be much below 135,000 now, let alone 2040: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...ulation-49466/

A former convent near Rugby is up for sale, with a view to being converted into 4 flats. This sounds like a effort to maximise profit, rather than providing decent housing: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...-turn-29700725
