I sympathise with the locals. I certainly wouldn't want anything like this on my doorstep.

Wasperton Farm is still on the agenda, as well as Glebe Farm in Barford; a lot of mineral extraction looks likely around Rugby too: http://www.rugbyadvertiser.co.uk/new...erns-1-7163388

The decision for the Barford area has been delayed due 400-odd comments regarding the plan: http://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/...-kept-waiting/

Not sure how much of a chance the people of Barford have; there's a precedent of gravel being extracted in the area dating back years: https://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/...lans-1-8730239

I don't think the university will give a fig.

Unfortunately, far too many people worship the little God of money.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

My bet is still that the quarry will go ahead.

Same here. There's been gravel extraction in the area before, so a precedent has been set.

This article doesn't really move the story on, but there's a couple of interesting bits of information: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...-stop-24297824
