That is good.

Lovely painting of a cat! Was it from a pet you had Cathi?
Yes, Thank you, but I painted it from one of my photos. She was a rescue cat-she was pregnant when we had her and kept one of her kittens and gave the other two to friends.
She was a beautiful thief.

I captured this picture with the sun on my Penstemon, and I had no idea what it was going to turn out like, it seems as though I have caught sun rays on it. I'm gobsmacked! Mouth still open.![]()

Very good Margaret.
Many of my associates photograph aircraft. Almost all of them have the goal to take a frame at the right moment and catch the anti-collision strobe in full glow.

A bright, intense, flashing light on the aircraft to alert others that it is there. Normally on ground they're red and inflight they're white.
In my day they were all rotating red beacons.
Here's one caught on the aircraft spine as it flies through the Mach Loop in Wales

I just had a quick look at this video of enthusiasts on the Mach Loop .
I see. They must be very strong beams, and any photographer would have to be very quick or take pot luck to catch the beam from the plane doing a zillion miles an hour. I don't suppose they had them on war planes?

They are incredibly bright, a lot stronger than the old xenon lamps I used to repair.
The cold war aircraft I worked on usually had mirrored red rotating lamps. One set above the wing, one set below. They were not particularly intense, but did seem to penetrate distance quite well. They would obviously be turned off during battle conditions.
You can see the Vulcan lower ones here (They are actually red!)...
