I liked a lot of his ideas on education - ie it'd be a good idea teaching kids to read and write. Unfortunately, most of the teachers I came across at school (you have a lot to answer for Trinity!) seemed to think they deserved a days pay just for turning up in the morning, and the kids they had to 'educate' (read 'babysit') were just an annoyance to be endured between coffee breaks.
