Leamington Spa redevelopment as a 'cultural hub' .

I may be a bit behind the times and unaware that the computer gaming is a vital part of Leamington's economy! So I was roundly told off in a local group for saying that I didn't see what was cultural about computer gaming.

I believe that Leamington is home to more computer gaming companies than anywhere else in the UK. Do not denigrate it even if some of us don't use it. Don't be elitist about culture. Any such investment in Leamington should be welcomed. This looks like a discussion idea at the moment and we should all contribute our ideas. Great to see the council taking the lead for once''

Well, I wouldn't see it as 'culture' either but I'm a dinosaur and words tend to evolve over time.

But, Leamington is well known for computer games creation and if it brings in employment and money to the area, great. However, I find the idea of more food businesses in Leamington rather amusing.

What areas need are services/products that can be exported to other areas thus bringing in fresh additional money, not simply recirculating money that is already there.
