New Tesco Express In Stratford

Ye gods, we don't need another supermarket in Stratford! We've already got:

Tesco
Tesco Express
Morrisons
Waitrose
Sainsburys Local
Aldi

Plus a Co-Op and another Sainsburys being built in Wellesbourne!

I don't really bother with Stratford much nowadays. I only tend to venture into the town centre to pay money into my bank (there are several ATMs out of town I can use to withdraw money), buy discount toiletries (the discounted products are just about worth the stress of having to drive round the outskirts of town to get access to parking I don't have to pay for); or treat myself to a decent bottle of scotch from Vinology (an excellent independent off licence run by people who actually know what they're talking about).
Once in a while, I also drag myself out of bed at daftoclock on a Friday morning to get to Barry the Butcher to buy a joint of something for Sunday Lunch before the dawdling masses park in the middle of every thoroughfare and try to work out which of the pedals in their mobile box makes it go forward!

Tesco is under pressure to improve it's planned shop front. People actually think it's going to look worse than it does already? How was HMV allowed to do this to a listed building in the first place?

Well, it's getting on for 18 months later and, as I suspected deep down, Tesco has done nothing and the old HMV is still a tatty blight on Stratford's High Street.
