Stratford to Become Another Milton Keynes?

The council's opposition to any development may not amount to much, as SDC's local plan is nowhere near finished (thanks partly to the government changing their mind on planning every 5 minutes)

I've just been to a presentation on development in Stratford, and one of the options is VERY scary. the area I've lined in purple represents a potential development of 2750 houses on the south side of the town.
