Now charged and the body has been positively identified. - A very sad state of affairs. I believe his first court appearance is tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

Yes, it is such a senseless and pointless act of inhumanity. And I think that the Met bears some responsibility because they did not take action on his bizarre behaviour prior to the murder. He exposed himself at a restaurant in South London, 3 days before he and wasn't disciplined or removed from duty for such a gross act.
I know these horrible things happen anywhere in the country but Women must now feel terrified to be out walking alone in the London area. I remember a time when I loved going up to London and walking round in the evenings, coming out of concerts , going to restaurants , travelling home at night, perfectly innocently safe as far as I was concerned. They did have transport police on the trains back then.
The poor deceased girl's family will sue the Met in civil damages, they will receive millions.

That exposure incident is bizarre. Let's face it, if I'd have done it I'd have had the book thrown at me. The fact that the Met didn't act in a more appropriate way is extremely odd. Was this his way of asking for help? Had the Met acted could this girl's life have been saved?

I doubt we'll ever know the truth but it seems such a needless waste of a young life.

I don't like to disrespect the dead or dying, but.. I really don't much care about Prince Philip. I think that after he had the vaccine it made him ill, just a guess.

One of his famous sayings is: ..“In the event that I am reincarnated, I would like to return as a deadly virus, to contribute something to solving overpopulation.''

To me , that is evil wishing such suffering on the populace, after he has spent his whole life in the lap of luxury, good health and private doctors.

I think many suspect that any vaccine administered to him has possibly contributed to his current problem.

I'm not a royal fan but I'll miss the old b*gger when he goes. He's given me a few (inappropriate) laughs over the years.

The weather forecast looks great for today. I'm planning to spend the afternoon sitting out in the garden.

Very pleasant but not looking so good for later in the week, nor for the first few days of pub gardens being open.

Looks like the weather's going to be ok tomorrow, then things are getting colder from Thursday.

By the time I'd finished work & done my weekly shop, so I missed out today apart from a quick walk at lunchtime.

    Happy Easter to WOL.

We woke up to a heavy frost this morning. But the sky is blue and the sun is rising, so it looks like it will warm up.

A very Happy Easter to you, Margaret.

I'm sat here, drink in hand, 70s music on and patio door open with the dog running in and out like a mad-thing. A very pleasant day.
