    Thumbs up Plastic Bank Notes

I think this is a really good idea. I went to Australia & New Zealand a few years ago, and their notes seemed a lot more sturdy than ours.

    Mixed views on this Lex.

Isn't it the unique feel of our paper notes that has foiled many counterfeiters?

I thought I'd be anti this idea but I actually think I like the concept. I Think they'll be far more durable and cleaner or cleanable for one thing.

    Apparently they don't like irons....

Our money has been 'plastic' for years

I think I'd better start getting rid of what I've stashed under the mattress.

All those old £5 notes might be worth quite a bit now, Rebbonk!

I just wish I'd got a few from Operation Bernhard. - They seem to be changing hands at a good premium these days.

A bit of money history in the lead up to the first plastic bank note: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-36047863

Being from one of the lands down under I remember the plastic money. The notes are good as they don't rip like the paper money we have and they have a longer life so that has to be a win/win.
    Cool
