It's still heavily subsidised: I wonder how long before the council realise that they can not only remove the subsidy but actually make a profit?
To be fair, I did read more than a few complaints about this year's event. I hope that lessons have been learned for the future.

It's not really something I ever fancied going to, even when it was free. Godiva is still a fraction of the price of most other festivals, though; perhaps Godiva fans have had it too good for too long.
