This is a true story of a wee girl who simply lived for the moment. Tragically, on one of her many bike rides, she rode her little trike into the family swimming pool.

BRIDGETTE....

If your life was touched by Bridgette, it was kissed by the summer sun;
A willo-the-wisp, an imp of a child, mischief, charisma and fun.
She'd tread in a place for some that's forbidden, no cares, apprehension or fear;
Overflowing with life, surprises and joy, year after year after year!
Deep within, she may have known, that her life on the earth was brief.
Action packed, full to the brim, there was ne'er any time for grief!
So much to do, so much to learn, living for the moment; today,
Tomorrow was today, future was now, yesterday had passed away!
A child of courage who challenged the world, herself and others around,
She flew so high, higher than high, her feet barely touched the ground!
If you dared have the cheek to say "Do up your lace, to fall would be a disgrace[/I]",
She'd front up to you, gaze into your eyes, and screw up her dear little face!
Off on her bike, she would take a hike, and visit her friends down the way.
Invite herself in, whether you knew it or not, and break some things on the day!
With love and discretion, all was kept quiet, and ne'er was a word to be said.
Tucked up at night, her secret was safe, as she snuggled right down in her bed!
At times, the sound of 'music' was heard, as she tinkled away at the keys.
Her 'melody' made, she allowed it it be, carried away by the breeze!
Where would she go, what would she do, she kept you all on your toes!
Up in the clouds, away on her bike, her face, a picture of pose!
This child of delight, touched so many hearts, in her brief encounter with life.
May her memory be, as bright as her life, and live, without anger or strife.
Share your grief, as much as your love, this is how she would want it to be,
Don't look for blame, remember her name......BRIDGETTE....."Remember ME!"
