Sympathies Cathi.
My mum went down with a flu type infection a few weeks back and was admitted to Walsgrave. She's now been transferred to St Cross!
Take care.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Hope you feel better soon, Cathi.
I won some lamb chops in a meat raffle, so I've got those to enjoy over the next few days.
thanks.
I was misdiagnosed, it is a lung infection.now on antbioics and steroids.
So much for GPs on the phone saying drink lots and stay in bed, there's a lot about.
Desperately called emergency services Saturday afternoon as I hadn't improved, and a doc. came out.He said a few days more, it could have been pnuemonia and why hadn't I called before now.
The paramedics came out to see my mum and said similar, but they added the over-rider that with that type of infection she could go downhill fast (which she did) so suggested A&E just to be sure. After 16 hours on a trolley she finally got a bed!
Mum's still in hospital now, but has gotten over her lung troubles.
Take great care Cathi, it takes some getting over.

Is our food getting spicier?
Mrs R and myself have just had pie and chips and both noticed how spicy the pies were. Have they always been like this or have the recipes changed due to the population preferring spicier food?

Can't say I've noticed, to be honest.
It might be an age thing Lex. I think our taste buds change as we age.

We've got a quiche and potatoes for tonight.
Got rather a large leg of lamb for next week. - It'll last at least 3 days, more likely 4!

I generally only have lamb as a special treat - it's always really expensive.
It is expensive Lex, though Tesco had this on special offer when Mrs R bought it.
I remember when lamb was one of the cheaper meats in this country, but that was before the EU and its protectionist farming policies.

I've fancied trying mutton for a while now, but never think to ask for any when I'm near any of the butcher shops I frequent.
I love mutton casseroles/stews. - Especially the good old Irish recipes.

Nice piece of belly pork for me tonight.
Kentucky style chicken, french fries and salad tonight.
Roast lamb (cooked earlier today) dinner tomorrow. - Will likely spill over to Tuesday as well.
