Roast pork for me tomorrow. A friend gave me a couple of bramley apples last week, so a bit fresh apple sauce to go with it.

Sunday we're going for Kentucky and fries (own recipe). But I'll also cook a couple of chicken breasts at the same time for Monday and Tuesday. - We tend to have a roast dinner Monday for some reason.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

I really enjoyed making a chicken broth this afternoon, (left from Sunday roast), back door open, because it was so mild and humid, gloomy/orangey sky, looking very stormy, but I love the fresh air if I can have the back door open when I am cooking.
Ingredients for my chicken broth, was, leeks, onions, carrots, garlic, parsnips, ground black pepper and a dash of pink Himalayan salt and of course chicken bits. Very filling! I have no particular set amounts of ingredients, just throw it all together.

    Another concoction of mine.
Tatties , minced beef and dumplings today. In the mince I put carrots, leeks, onions, a bit of swede, and the usual season, served with spinach and what was left of the broccoli.

I love mince and chips. Minced beef, onions and a thick gravy all over freshly cooked crispy chips - Lovely.

Sadly, tonight is a veggie stirfry. And to rub salt into the wound, it is apparently my turn to cook it!

After last night's stirfry (wasn't too bad) tonight is burger batches.

We had roast lamb yesterday, and I'm making a sherpherds pie for tomorrow. So that left me with a few lamb left-overs for tonight. I knocked up a tandoori sauce, marinaded and heated the lamb then served with chips and peas. It was absolutely lovely, though she who casts no shadow complained that it was too 'hot'.

I'm making beef curry for the weekend - do I spot a trend here?

I'd planned fish, mash and peas, but somehow I don't think I'll be cooking it. Mrs R isn't feeling very hungry. I did her a couple of bacon sandwiches last night and she barely nibbled them.

Well we had our roast dinner on Saturday , so today I am making a pot of broth and an omelette. Finishing with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream and some fruit. That should keep the wolves at bay, at least until tomorrow!
