Chilli for the last couple of evening meals. Got a nice soda bread loaf cooking now for supper. Different recipe, so fingers crossed.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Just made myself a chicken casserole & a couple of apple crumbles - 1 for the weekend & the other for the freezer.

    Yummy, yummy.

Can't be bothered tonight; so I'll open a can of macaroni cheese and follow that with a couple of apple turnovers that I made yesterday.

Do you have custard or ice cream with the apple turnovers?

Peppered Mackerel with mixed veg, onions and tatties.

    The Mackerel was very tasty.

Due to a substitution a few weeks back on a Tesco order, I was the proud owner of two packets of Tesco chocolate cake mix. - I can't remember what they were substituted for, but I'm not really a cake eater.

A quick scan on the internet came up with the idea of a black cherry dump cake. - It was not only easy but very nice served up with custard.

I've tried Tesco chocolate cake mix, its really nice. But I must be careful, everything in moderation.

Nothing to exotic today, just broccoli and tomato quiche, with veg mix.
Fruit cake and coffee for afters.

Well, after a couple of pints this afternoon (it was cold and wet, why do I do it?) I've decided on toad in the hole tonight, followed by a slow cooker rice pudding.

After a big dinner yesterday, we decided to have a quick meal today, which was just spicy bean burgers, accompanying mixed veg and garlic bread.
    Yogurt and mixed fruit.

I find as we get older, we don't need big meals everyday - speaking for ourselves that is.

All I've had today is half a homemade soda bread loaf followed by some peaches with custard. - Simple, filling, easy. As you say, Margaret, we don't need big meals.

I'm planning on doing homemade kebab meat later in the week. I'll have it with a few chips one day, salad the next.
