I cooked a leg of lamb yesterday, that'll do us for today and Wednesday. Tuesday will be a ham salad.

I like macoroni cheese Margaret, but Mrs R hates it: I also like Cauli cheese. Unfortunately, cheese can aggravate my gout so I don't get these dishes very often.

I love chicken. I often boil the bones to make stock once I've finished the meat.

Nothing better than your own stock, Lex.

We're having bacon, hash browns and mushrooms tonight. - If I can get off my backside!

I'm going to be making a curry with the stock - not really a big eater of soup.

I like soups with plenty of bread to dip in.

Yes, its the season for making nice home made soup.

Today I did , Leek and onion, omelette, with veg on the side, mashed carrots and swede, broccoli. That's me stuffed for the day!

After an afternoon in the local hostelry with the dog, I'm doing pork steaks tonight. They were on cheap a few weeks back at Tesco and I'm sure the dog will appreciate the juices on her dinner.

It was the first time I've taken the dog inside a pub, and she certainly didn't disgrace herself.
