Earlsdon is probably the best area - a thriving high street and a mix of houses, ranging from traditional 2 bed terraces to large detached/semi houses. Very expensive, though.

Bad places: Hillfields, Tile Hill (Around Jardine Crescent - the rest is OK), Radford, Wood End, Stoke [Anywhere with Stoke in it is pretty bad], Foleshill, Longford, Keresley, Holbrooks.

Basically much of the south is very affluent - Stivichal, Finham, Cheylesmore are all very good but expensive. Some bits of Coundon are OK. Binley's OK. Walsgrave's OK. Eastern Green's OK.

Trouble is a lot of Coventry is really just vast sprawls of housing & business parks. You may find yourself about 3-4 miles out of the city centre with very few local facilities such as shops/pubs, etc.

Exhall is very pleasant place to live too, only just over the border from Cov. direction north rural in parts - Handy for -countryside -schools-frequent buses to Nuneaton Bedworth or Coventry. Lots going on--

    Kenilworth is very expensive, though.
