    Default Soaps

Do you dare to admit you're a soap addict like me?

I love Eastenders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale

Default What are you reading ??

    HALLO Phoenix,
Welcome (Ilike your avatar-------is it you?)
I watch those soaps too, but cant be bothered to watch the others.
I really liked 'Eldorado' too and never forgave them for ending it.
What books do you read and what are you reading now?
In fact what is anyone reading now- I love to know what people are reading

I have just-tonight -finished 'Toast' by Nigel Slater.

    Hi Cathidaw

I was actually looking for a phoenix bird avatar when I spotted this one from the X Men cartoons. I thought it was alot nicer and yes I suppose in a way I do look like my avatar; my hair is always sticking up like that in the morning

I've just read Seven Sunny Days by Chris Manby, I might try some of her others, I like the way she writes.

So then soap addicts do you reckon Hazel will return and marry Minty? Can Carla finally claw her way into Liam's heart?

Am showing my lack of telly character knowledge here, but who, are Hazel, Minty, Carla and Liam??

I seem to remember in the dim and distant past American soaps such as Peyton Place, The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives.

After nearly 7 years of not having a telly I now have one - Note for the TV Licencing lot, I DO have a valid licence. I seldom turn it on and when I do I tend to avoid the soaps mostly because you need to keep watching to keep up!
    Cool

iDO HOPE hAZEL RETURNS . Poor Minty-----and also Gary--- everyone needs a happy ending , altho' with East Enders it cannot be on the cards.
I sometimes teach art to the elderly and it is almost part of the job description to keep up with the soaps. It's like a book they can't put down.
That is not my excuse---I enjoy them.
The Coventry Phoenix is very handsome.
