    Default Any walkers out there?

I'd like to go walking at the weekends. Are there any Forum members that can recommend any groups eg warwickshire Ramblers?

I see that there have not been any responses as of yet. I hope this does not prevent you from going out on some walks on your own.

I have thought about this a little because I cannot think of how you could just meet people out in the parks and talking to them about walking. Some people might not like being approched and who wants to deal with that.

Try networking with your friends is what I would do. Or even look up some of the running clubs. They might have a walking part of their association.

Hmm... weekend walkabouts. I have to work most weekends, currently I have a 22 week roster and 5 weekends off, but, a sense of humour and I can create my very own onboard obstacle course with the added handicap factor of a moving train. Walking down the aisles, negotiating and stepping over bags, legs, feet, little children, empty bottles rolling around, people walking towards you carrying buffet bags of munchies/drink, babies for nappy changing etc. All in a day's work, and always the obstacles present themselves in a different order which adds variety and interest to the day.
    Cool
