    Default Litterbugs - fine 'em

Walking through the town centre today I was astounded at the deliberate mess.
Things like partly eaten containers of food discarded on seats as well as just dropped. I was walking towards a group of teens and one of them, eating a burger from a box dropped the box and kept walking though a bin was nearby. Many times I have seen rats in the garden areas in front of the Co-op Supermarket. How good it would be if the Council went on a mission to clean up the town by heavily fining the litterbugs. I assume that the same people who happily walk away from their litter instead of disposing it in the right place would also do the same with their homes.

Funny you should mention that, we've been discussing just that on atherstoneforum. A mancetter man got fined by Atherstones Borough council for dropping a ciggarette end. Personally i agree with the fines but don't agree with expensive resources being used to catch them .
