I don't think there's a plan, Lex. We are nothing more than funding for politicians' stupidity, grandiose schemes and vanity projects, not to mention their own pockets. The current 'plan' of heavy taxation isn't sustainable, especially when coupled with the unfettered immigration of people who simply won't work.

I don't have the answers, but then I didn't ask people to vote for me promising them a bright new beginning!

Stammer & Co. seem to be going for a slash and burn policy: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clyn01p5npgo

I think I'm starting to miss the Conservatives........

If, there was a blackhole Starmer and crew have made it far deeper with their stupidity over the last month or so.

Whatever happened to 'all fully costed'?

I see that sleaze issues are already raising their ugly little heads. I doubt Starmer will see Christmas as leader, who might replace him could be rather problematical.

The RAC thinks the 2022 petrol duty cut should br reversed. The cut didnt cause petrol prices to fall, but watch prices shoot up if the 5p duty's reintruduced: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm2nrneym82o

Increasing fuel duty will fuel inflation as almost everything in the UK is delivered by road

It will be interesting, Lex. Will he threaten to remove the whip from those who don't support him?

In the next few weeks, I expect Labour MPs to be inundated with mail from their constituents suggesting that they shouldn't support this measure. As they work for us, not the other way around, I suspect that many will crumble.

I suspect continuously threatening to remove the whip from his MPs will just build trouble for Stammer in the furute.

It will certainly lose its' effect over time, it will also reduce his majority. I somehow don't think he's going to get it all his own way

And I find that rather odd. It hardly leads to trust, does it?

I think Laura Kuenssberg caught Starmer last weekend when talking about this. IIRC, she pointed out that the 'black hole' left by the Tories was only £13bn, the extra £9bn was down to Labour's early profligacy.

The public is fed up with being lied to, hence the widespread disengagement with politics.

Their tactics are so transparent, even I saw through it. Exagerate the problem, blame the last management, tell the proles the solution will be painful & spin it as heroics.

Comrade Corbyn will be proud of Stammer - cave in to the unions, nationalise everything, and generally b****r everything up. It'll take a Maggie T. level of effort to sort this s***show out.

Sadly, I have to agree, Lex. Unfortunately, I don't see anyone capable of taking it on. If this shower of excrement is the best we can muster, we're doomed!
