Default 50 years as a councillor

COVENTRY conservative councillor Tim Sawdon has celebrated a 50-year milestone in public service.
First elected at a by-election on April 25, 1974, Tim has remained a steadfast advocate for residents, representing the interests of Cheylesmore and then Wainbody.

As Coventry’s longest-serving councillor, Tim’s milestone has garnered widespread acclaim, with congratulatory messages pouring in from political colleagues, council officers, local residents, family, and friends.
