I got mine a few weeks back. I signed up via the government website, and they passed it on to Coventry Council; I had a query from them the same day, and a day later I had the paper in my hand.

Simple, painless and totally bl**dy pointless!

There is no political party to vote for.
the Reform Party are full of fantasy, think they can wave a magic wand and fix broken, ailing Britain.
So I wont be voting. no need for my ID

Margaret, I have to say that I largely agree with you. We might have a decent guy stand as an independent in the local elections...

But I always make a point of voting, even to just spoil my paper by telling them what I think! - No bad language, just something like 'nobody on this paper deserves my vote'. And your vote isn't secret, the paper is traceable back to you!

The Green Party has announced their candidates for Coventry: https://www.coventryobserver.co.uk/n...cil-elections/

Apparently, they stand in my my area too; not that I ever hear from them.

Labout are looking to capitalise on dissatisfaction with the Conservatives. Not that they'll do any better, the current economic cluster**** if partly their fault: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-65349493

I honestly struggle at times to see the differences between Labour and Conservative. The largest common denominator though, is career politicians out for all they can get for themselves.

The Lib Dems and Labour both think they've got a decent chance in my area. I'd put money on the LDs doing well, but Labout won't get a look in.

I spoiled my vote. Nothing rude or offensive, but they will read my views

As a pundit said on the radio today (Radio 4, no less!), the Conservatives 'Got a kick in the ballots'. We've got a Lib Dem run council in Stratford now, and the Tories did similarly badly across the City & County.
