So, our options might be Santa Claus, Mickey Mouse, Pudsey, Paddington, Superman or Flash Gordon. Well, my vote goes to Paddington, at least he has a marmalade sandwich under his hat.

We seem to have several versions of Mickey Mouse in recent years, often supported by the Muppets.

I suspect how PMQs tomorrow goes might be defining. If Truss screws it up I fear the end will be nigh. If she handles it well, she might remain in office until Halloween, when she will be judged again.

Frankly, I don't rate her chances, and if I were her, I'd go now rather than wait for the Tories to remove me.

Having watched PMQs I don't think she acquitted herself very well. I thought that Starmer went very easy on her. Latest is that she's cancelled (at very short notice) a planned press Q&A session for this afternoon.

Slight aside, I watched Lisa Nandy (Labour) take Steve Baker (Conservative) to pieces on the politics show. I rate Nandy, and I respect Baker, but I've never seen him look so embarrassed or awkward.

Wragg (Conservative) is rather p*ssed at tonights 3 line whip on fracking. He wants to vote against it but knows if he does he loses the whip, but worse, it would mean that his letter of no confidence in Truss would be negated!

Things are closing in on Truss: slowly, but steadily.

With tonight's developments, I doubt that by the time I log in tomorrow Truss will still be in office. The woman is truly f*cked!

The Tory Party has reached its final death throws!

It is agony watching this clueless bint flogging a dead horse!

She's gone! Interestingly, the FTSE has just shot up!

I spotted that too. Hopefully, things will settle down by next Friday when another PM is chosen. It'll be fun to hear about the wrangling over the next few days.
