    Anything that involves O’Boyle worries me.

    I actually see this as a backward step. Buses are far more flexible.
    Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

    I sometimes wonder if levelling the city & starting again would be the best option for sorting Coventry out.

    The whole layout of the city is an uncoordinated and largely uncontrolled mess, and the council are purely to blame for it. They are the controllers of how the city develops, they lacked both foresight and vision.

    After the war, the city developed as a hub and spoke system. Had it continued that way, with the spokes being big wide roads and ground-level 'ring roads' being added as necessary, the city would still be easily navigable. - An opportunity forever lost.
    Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
