I wonder what the 'real' demand is for this service?

Apparently, library use has been declining for years.
Perhaps for students to study and do research. I guess they could do that at home, but the Library in Leamington upstairs is always busy with people sitting at computers, or sitting at the desks reading. Maybe some students live in noisy rooms or flats and the quiet atmosphere in the library is more conducive to study.
Just guessing really.
