The council will be trying to tell the electorate that they are getting extra for their council tax increases.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Nuneaton's had a lot of money chucked at it over recent years. Have the residents of the town seen any difference?

Like all towns they've suffered, particularly their High Street.

Hopefully, some of the money will be spent on these projects: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/in...-face-20181966

Looks like Nuneaton's in for a major bit of knocking about & redevelopment: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...hotel-20358398

Jokes apart, does Nuneaton need that hotel?

Debatable, but I suppose even Nuneaton has people visiting it.

Accepted, Lex, but it's not as if the area is bereft of accommodation. This just feels like a lot of destruction for the sake of putting in a central hotel.

I see what you mean - redevelopment just for the sake of building something.

    That's how it feels.
