    Default Council Tax Rises 2021

Inevitable, really, since West Midlands Police dumped Warwickshire Police: https://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/...x-hike-3112531

The WM commissioner is also seeking a hefty precept.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

I've heard reports about taxes being put up in the government's budget in March too. I can't quite believe it'll happen in the current economic situation, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

Everyone seems to be grabbing as much as they can. No doubt we'll be seeing cuts in services as well.

This will turn and bite councils on the backside. People are fed up with being taken for a ride, remember the poll tax issues?

I've worked with many councils over the years and most are riddled with expensive wastes of one sort or another, not to mention overstaffing and in many cases inflated wages. Trouble is, it takes someone with guts to tackle these deep-rooted things and few councillors or other council officials have the will to do it, taking the flack that would come from the workforce.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Not enough to make it worthwhile.

Yup, it's a joke; just like most of our useless councillors.

Trouble is, most of us will see b***** all for the extra money we're paying.

Breaking the 'magic' 2 grand figure for a band D property. - Absolutely scandalous.
