We're having spiced chicken legs and fries tonight.
I've roasted a large joint of lamb for tomorrow, then Tuesday we'll have a Shepherd's pie and Wednesday a lamb curry. Hopefully that will see the joint off!

Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Got a joint of pork on the go. I've been cooking it on a low heat all afternoon, and will crank the temperature up for the last 45 minutes to get the crackling nice & crisp (drool).
My shepherd's pie looks inviting. I put it all together this morning, only need to warm it up later.
Mrs R has been and bought a rather large tub of yoghurt for tomorrow's curry. Apparently, it'll be a hot one, as I don't know how to make mild ones!

I love my curries hot - even '3 chilli' curries at Indian restaurants are rarely hot enough for me.
Hog roast sausages from local butcher, onions, leeks , peppers, carrots , spinach. baked spud.
Baked apple and custard. Didn't have muscovado sugar for the apple , so i use honey added afterwards. not during cooking. Phew, that's my stint all morning in the kitchen , got my feet up now after our meal . No leftovers, which is good.

I've Just bought a smaller slow cooker.
What recipes have you got planned for it, Cathi
Beans on toast tonight! Just right after an afternoon on the beer.

Aberdeen Angus minced beef with tatties, dumplings and the usual accompanying veg.
Prune Yoghurt for afters.
At present I do casserole type meals with a thick chicken fillet on the bottom, then chopped onions and lentils, and all veg piled on top
For flavouring I mix herbs and spices in a jug of hot water and pour over.
It makes 2 meals or more .I never reheat again next day in the pot. I scoop out into a dish and use the microwave next day.
(Chicken or turkey because I don't eat 4 legged meat.)
Potato wedges added instead of peeled spuds are excellent sometimes.
I'M A LAZY COOK NOWADAYS, unless someone comes for a meal.

A visit to the local chippy for me tonight - met a friend for a couple of pints, and couldn't be bothered cooking by the time I got home just before 8.00!
