It's not the real river. It's a water feature that follows the path of the river. The river is too polluted to be opened up, apparently.
They didn't pay lip service- this plan was made up from the...
Coventry City Council: City Centre Regeneration
Has anyone seen this masterplan?
It all looks big and flash (Six new towers?) but seems to be a rehash of old ideas rather than bold and new.
Still, there's some good ideas in it... Recreating...
Apparently, a masterplan will be made public this year...
However, one of the companies who owns part of the shopping area actually sold it and the other one has been cancelling shopping...
Kenilworth is very expensive, though.
Earlsdon is probably the best area - a thriving high street and a mix of houses, ranging from traditional 2 bed terraces to large detached/semi houses. Very expensive, though.
Bad places:...
Aye. But everyone refers to the Silver Sword as "Silvers". There's still some sort of pub/bar on Silver Street, next to the old Grammar school. Don't know what it's called!
That's on Trinity Streetm and is still there - it's called Trinity now, though.
I don't think the police will be interested in this, and I doubt they'd go to the expense of getting paint tested. Have you tried the small claims court?
It's private money from developers plus some from the council. There are three major landowners involved - Modus, Morley and the City Council.
This is very good news. Coventry City centre is an...
I was talking more about the city centre. My local retail in Earlsdon is excellent. I'd never shop in Kwik Save or Somerfield if you paid me, horrible store. Good riddance!
The city centre is not...
Have you been in Coventry recently? The retail is terrible.
A garage on the A45 in Coventry is being turned into a M&S food store.
Of course, if anyone ever manages to prove that Shakespeare didn't write any of those plays, then Stratford can slip back into being a nice, unassuming market town - and all the Japanese tourists,...
I quite like it - as does our office, as we go there quite often. Don't consider it particularly expensive. It's far better than the one in the Butts (Blue Orchid) which is really Indian people...
Aqua Food and Moods in Coventry is very good - relaxed atmosphere and the lebanese dishes on the menu (It's Lebanese and Italian) are absolutely delicious.
Sounds nice, shame about the location though - that puts me off right away.
It annoys my wife as well.
TESCO are planning another huge site in Canley - they are going to build a new Tesco stores on stilts over the car park and add more shop units to the existing shopping...

The old Marconi has gone now, I think, but yeah, that's the general area where Paradise was. Towards where Alfred Herberts was at the end of Stoney Stanton Road was Edgwick. There used to be a club...
I lived in Paradise for a year as a student - it's the around the Stoney Stanton Road just after the "Police Station" on the corner (The one below the block of flats.) It's pretty rough, and looks...
Coventry has an archive - it's in the Herbert Art gallery. A lot of Coventry documents were destroyed during the blitz and also in the home of a private collector in Brum in the 19th century.

The D40 is excellent, and I went for it over Canon's equivalent as it got better reviews, but if you've already got Canon lenses/body, I'd stick with canon, unless you think the Nikon is a lot...
Yes, that's the one!
Got it from Warehouse Express - Camera Accessories and Lenses, Photography Equipment, Canon, Nikon Digital Cameras
