Hello to everyone in Rugby...

Thought I'd start off the Rugby forum and say hi before anyone else gets in there... I think Rugby's a nice town to live in, friendly people, good sporting facilities, a decent amount of shops (but could definitely do with a department store like Debenhams) and plenty of nice places to eat out. Unfortunately, because much of Rugby was built in Victorian times, the road system is diabolical in certain areas unless a) you're happy crawling along at less than 15mph, b) you like road humps, c) you don't mind giving way to a car coming up the road 200 yds away cos there's nowhere to pull in and d) you like being caught by a speed camera doing 33mph down a hill.... do you know that last week I travelled from Rugby-Northampton in just 17 minutes and the following day it took me 22 minutes to travel 2 miles to work in Rugby town centre! Enough said on that one. Anyway, hope to hear from more people in Rugby soon!!

I'm not from Rugby, but Im glad to see you getting the ball rolling for Rugby.

Did I hear right that Rugby supposed has the most pubs per square mile, out of the entire country? It could just be a local myth of course.

Hello Lorraine, i live in Princethorpe, 7 miles from Rugby. I love Rugby town centre and the pubs and clubs ain't bad either.

Yes Will, I believe Rugby did have the most pubs per square mile anywhere in the UK - not sure if that is still standing - like the people who visited them all in one night!

Hi,

I am praveen ..recently moved to Rugby and in fact to UK. We moved from Germany...

Initially it looked like a very small and old town to us..may be becuase we came from a big town ( Mannheim) in Germany but slowly and slowly we have started liking this place ..

Nice town center... friendly people..good sports and education facility.

My hobbies are spiritual complimentary therapies...i do a lot of Yoga ( Pranayam- breathing yoga) and Reiki.

Looking forward to make some friends for life in this lovely town.
