I miss BHS, we use to go up to the Cafe, have a bit of a meal and overlook the river and town, it was a lovely view.
Yes, it's a great location. It'll be a shame if the building falls into dereliction.

Yes, it is madness. The number of empty shops is slowly increasing in Stratford, and we don't need any more (although, the town could do with some different shops, not just chain stores).

I expect we'll see a lot of this during the coming months, especially as rent becomes due. Many enterprises have not had a good Christmas period, many are struggling day to day and it will all start to hit home shortly.
2018 won't (IMO) be a good year for many of the high street names.

The traditional High street model is all but dead in the water these days. It's good that the developer has seen a way forward but I wonder if the types of business they're trying to attract will be able to afford the rents being asked?
