Default James Stewart-actor-pilot

col. James Stewart-pilot-actor.

1908-1997
dfc.-croix de guerre
air medal with oak leaves.
brig. general.retired

indiana the place of his birth
extremely modest- down to earth
tall gangling- smooth and cool
speech affected by a halting drawl.

a degree in architecture- he gained with ease
but the great depression started to squeeze
so off to hollywood and not to sure
if his amateur talent would mature.

but acting he mastered with the greatest of ease
the camera and audience were easy to please
his honest character came shining through
in one year just- he was head of the queue.

the rumblings of war were heard afar
and pricked the conscience of this superstar
he volunteered -as quick as a flash
the recruiting office he made a dash

at the army air corps training base
flying talents were honed apace
an agile mind and quick to learn
a commission and wings he was to earn.

training pilots- he took for a while
but training really- was not his style
In 43 to England he went
to tibenham in norfolk his talents were sent

with the rank of captain and his own command
they commenced to bomb adolph hitlers land
success and promotion came his way
by clever decisions in the heat of fray.

with the rank of colonel and chief of staff
the town of brunswick he commenced to trash
another success with him in command
a nail in the coffin for hitlers band

shortly after he left the war
he'd done his best to settle the score
modest to the end about his success.
his achievements in war he did not address.

james stewart made 78 films.
the first .’murder man’
the last ‘the magic of lassie’.
he won an oscar for ‘the philadelphia story’

Default Jobee McGonagall - one and the same?

Dear Jobee,

I have to admit that I have never ever read anything like the stuff you continually bombard this site with. Are you or have you ever been a fan of Mr McGonagall (or even related?) If not I suggest you research this man at once. I hope this (Below) helps.

He may have been born in Edinburgh but Dundee is the city where William Topaz McGonagall's work flourished. A handloom weaver by trade he is world renowned for his disjointed poetry that simply doesn't scan.

Whether he was an ingenious buffoon or a shrewd entertainer (McGonagall extracted fees of between 5 and 10/- (50p) from the crowds who gleefully attended his public humiliations) is open to debate. Whatever the case, one cannot fail to admire McGonagall's eternal optimism-this is the man who walked from Dundee to Balmoral to present a volume of his treasured verse to his beloved Queen Victoria only to be told at the gates of the castle to go away.

Actually Jobee I wasn't being sarcastic. I really was comparing your verse with that of dear old Topaz, and as for the discussing the content of your amusing 'poetry', how is that possible when there is really nothing to discuss. For example, what could I possibly want to discuss about James Stewart?
Just a thought have you ever thought of setting your stuff to music, rap-style?
So what's this about other sites that you appear on? You must have a lot of fans? Have you ever been published in print? Tell us a bit about yourself. I note that you sometimes end your work with a note that you were or are a para?

I shan't be bothering to check out your writings again. You are rude and obviously not a very nice individual.
