Of turtles and snails - slow

Just happened to look out of the window and spotted what looked like an old woman hunched over a walking frame staggering along at a snail's pace. She stopped at the edge of the curb.. teetered on the frame and got it on to the road then proceeded to stagger across. She was ever so lucky that the road isn't busy. Now she is staggering down the road. I wouldn't walk there at night and I am more ablebodied.

It is a huge danger, especially when you consider there are plenty of cowards out there, who wouldn't think twice about mugging a vulnerable old lady.

I phoned the Police and explained what was happening as I was extremely concerned for her wellbeing. After explaining I was asked to 'hold' for so long that I gave up wasting my mobile talk time having decided they have the details over to them and ended the call.
