    Not sure at this point; apparently the wrangling can take years. The Crown often gets a big slice of the profits, though.

    770 Roman Coins found

    This has sparked my memory. My ex brother-in-law found some gold coins some years ago when out metal detecting. He'd obtained permission to do so on private land. The haul was shared between himself and the landowner. The landowner got The Lion's share. I might add, it took a long time whilst The Treasure Trove legalities were trawled through. I understand the brother-in-law sold his to a museum but did keep one as a reminder of his fortunes.
