Default Wind & Rain

Does anyone else really enjoy the sound of wind & rain when they're going to sleep? Some people can't sleep when it's like that, but I love it and I always fall straight off. SO I'm really enjoying the current weather.

I'm with you on that. I do know some people who can't stand it, and it keeps them awake all night. I find it most peaceful.

Love it. Especially on a corrugated iron roof. Though, if you can, when the wind is really bad open up some windows on the sheltered side. Helps keep the roof on.

Don't forget wind chimes! They're very soothing as well.

It can actually be quite relaxing. I love watching thunderstorms in the distance. Makes you feel safe being indoors with it all going on outside. Having said that, we've been pretty close to being hit by lightening a few times

I've recently has a conservatory and it has a plastic roof. Whenever it rains it wakes me up (great for keeping an eye on the storms overnight) but for my wife it has the opposite effect and sends her to sleep.

One day a few years ago, I came home from work to find that my roof had leaked. There was a huge puddle of water on the living room floor and the whole place stunk of damp for weeks. Luckily my clothes and electrical items were ok.
