As well as the name & shame thread, a 'name & priase' thread seems a good idea to promote shops, businesses & organisations who do a good job customer service-wise.

Blacks outdoor shop in Stratford do a good job of customer service. The staff are always friendly & seem to know what they're talking about as well.

Barry the Butcher & Montpellier Gallery are also very good. They are locally run businesses too, so give them your support if you're shopping in S-o-A!

BIG praise indeed for North Warwickshire Police]SUPPOSEDLY THE WORST IN THE cOUNTY.
My car was stolen and burnt out in October.
Police responded immediately.
The culprit was later found and is now doing time.
The police kept me informed every step of the way about what was going on and even helped me with my insurance company who dragged their feet about paying up. It took 4 months but we got there in the end.
I am writing an official letter of praise to them

I've had good and bad experiences . I've had stuff stolen of great sentimental value and they never even came out. Case closed. It could only have been one of two people.

Benson's cafe in Stratford is really worth seeking out (Bards Walk). Bought a sandwich & coffee there today, was really impressed with the quality of the food & the caffine kick!

I went into Focus DIY, Nuneaton today to see about ordering a new kitchen. Too often you find staff in stores who have little product knowledge or are not overly interested. I spoke to a chap in the kitchens department. Gold stars and 12 points out of 10. He was FOCUSed!! Great product knowledge, helpful, friendly and definitely not trying to give you a 30 second time slot before moving you on. The end result of the visit will be my return in the next day or so to place my order for the kitchen and other items.

but it 'was' horrible to be an employeee there

That's really sad to hear. The only thing I can say is that with that being the case giving a good / excellent customer service is even harder under those conditions and with that knowledge I appreciate it even more.
