Default Baby's body found near Stratford Upon Avon

Just saw this on Midlands today, a baby's body was found in the river near Stratford Upon Avon. The police are looking into identifying who the baby might have belonged to.

There are some very disturbed people about. I wonder why they do it?

It is so very sad that someone feels that is the only way of dealing with something. There are many wouldbe adoptive parents out there. Problem is, we can speculate but we have no idea of the age or state of mind of the person concerned. It is a tragedy for both the loss of the child and the whole set of circumstances.

This was on the news again just now, apparently a bag was found nearby with a tea-towel with blood stains on it, as well as a pair of women's pyjama leggings.

Apparently, the baby had been beaten to death before she had been put in the canal. This is sounding worse by the day.

Has there been any updates about this in the last few days? I keep missing the local news.

Question

Did the police ever get to the bottom of this? I vaguely remember someone being arrested/questioned, but that's about it.
