I went to Bounce at the Shakesperience last night. It was £7.50(!) to get in, but was a really good night; the music was proper dance - not the cheesy .... you get in Celebs - & there was a good atmosphere too, even the bouncers were friendly!

Most pubs and clubs think-the louder the music? the more people will enjoy it
Does anyone- excepting us- complain? Perhaps the younger element don't want to talk to each other. Either that or they are already deaf I keep away now. My local ... I went for a meal one lunchtime to meet a friend I hadn't seen for ages. It was ok until the singer arrived and all our conversation came to a halt. He was so LOUD. On the bright side- he was quite something to look at--and very brave , as he was easily the wrong side of 50-big blonde hair with orange streaks, flash shirt, winklepickers and the skinniest swivelling hips you ever did see. Iwent to a birthday party last year at a British Legion club. Now -you would think That would a quiet place to go. Not so--the music? was so excruciatingly loud I didn't say a word all night--just sign language . I got quite good at it. The problem was , I hadn't seen the birthday boy fo ages so had to phone him the next day for a chat. Last edited by cathidaw : 11-11-2007 at 10:12 PM. |
