Just thought I'd mention this great pub if you haven't heard of it already. I went there for lunch a few weeks ago, and it really does live up to it's reputation. I think it's the winner of the 'Good Pub Guide's' pub of the year competition.

They're famous for their duck, but all their food is very good as I can now testify. If you're looking for a good pub in the countryside, I can highly recommend it.

A few friends of mine and me are pioneering a new social revolution called 'Lads What Lunch'. Not that we can afford to do it regularly, but we all seem to have more days off then the average person, so it gives us something to do.

That's one of the things I really enjoy as well - getting my walking boots on on a Sunday morning, wondering to a country pub for a couple of pints & a sarnie and sauntering home for a mug of tea & pack of biscuits.
