Default Favourate Stratford Resturant?

Hi all,

I was wondering what everyone's favourite resturant in Stratford is? I'm currently enjoying Chutneys, which do some amazingly good Indian food. I'm always up for new tastes though, anyone else have a personal favourite?

I love Indian Food! Where's Chutneys though? I haven't heard of that one. I go to Lambs on Sheep Street sometimes, it's a bit hit and miss though, it's either excellent of very average.

I have a friend who is a chef at Lambs, most the time anyway. They get moved around between Lambs, The Oppo, and now the Vintner. All owned by the same person I believe.

I'm sure he'd be interested in the feedback.

Default Lambs V Vintner

Now that Lambs owns the Vintner why is the food (basically the same) more expensive in the Vintner? Is it something to do with the black clad waitresses in the Vintner... ?

That could well be the case, lol. I used to go to the Vintner every lunchtime, until they got rid of the cinema seats surrounding that large Oak table. It was really socialble back then, it's lost its appeal since. All because they wanted to make the bar a bit bigger!

The 'Thai Boat House' is the 1 you're thinking of. I've had a couple of meals there; both the food & the decor are pretty amazing.

I went for a meal at Broom Tavern near Bidford a few weeks ago. The food was excellant - proper pub fare - and the landlord & staff did really well on the welcome and service.

Went to Avon Spice on Greenhill Street in Stratford a couple of weeks ago; best curry I've had in ages.
