Couldn't let the passing of this great chap go without expressing my sadness. I was at his Zoo when he opened a new section, he was a good person and I'm sure he'll be thoroughly missed by his country.

Poor old Steve, it's hard to imagine Australia without him. I hope all his good work is carried on.

His death has left a huge void in the world of conservation and he will be sadly missed. I am sure we can all do something to carry on the legacy of his work. Any step that any of us take however small towards helping to conserve something in the natural world is a fine tribute to his memory. We don't have any spare planets that we can move to if we don't care for what we have on this one. Let us take care of the world around us.
