It has been confirmed this morning that Tony Blair plans on resigning as leader of the Labour party, an official statement is expected later today. He will remain as leader until a replacement (Gordon Brown) is elected by the party.

Wonder what he'll do with himself next. May a new post of 'President for Life' will be created for him (wouldn't surprise me, the way things are going), or maybe 'Lord High Weasel'.
