On last night's Midlands Today, I saw some footage of a woman being dragged across the of the shop she was working in by some thieves holding the place up.

Yes Lex, it would appear so, though I daresay we would be told otherwise and quoted lots of crime solving/investigation figures etc. I would venture as far as suggesting that in part, too much leniency is involved and so they are getting more aggressive. This isn't the whole answer but I feel it a contributing factor. Also, how many instances do you know of, whereby, like magic, something is airbrushed away - (Note: this is how the victim perceives it.) - and the alleged offender leaves the victim with damage repairs on property and mentally??
