Police have cordoned off part of a road near Jephson Gardens - but so far have not said why.

Witnesses said that there does not seem to be an urgency but part of Newbold Terrace has been taped off.

We have asked the police for more information and we will bring you more as soon as they let us know what the incident is about.

Officers said the driver left the scene.

The person has suffered a leg injury but was conscious and talking as she was taken to hospital

Note: Initially police believed the incident was related to arrests made as part of an armed robbery but they have since corrected that statement.
