Thank you Rebbonk, I though it might be best to start a new thread for Math problems and go from here.

Q7 he needs 7/35ths of a litre which equals 0.2l: which just happens to be 200ml
Q8 [(Selling price-cost price)/cost price]*100
[(3.90-2.60)/2.60]*100...... [1.30/2.60]*100........ =50%
I hope this makes some sort of sense Margaret?
Edit to correct my misread figures
Q8 could also be calculated by (profit/cost price)*100.... (1.30/2.60)*100 = 50%

Yes, you did thank you Rebbonk. by looking at your workings, I think he can see where he went wrong and worked it out again. It is always helpful to have someone else look at it. You are still pretty sharp minded.. :)

If I can ever help, please feel free. - I have a very 'odd' set of qualifications and experience. ;)

He needs a total of 20 1/2 hour blocks for each job, I assume that breaks/lunch are not fixed.

That's how I'd work it, assuming I've understood the question properly

Will do, I'll need to contact my son for the details. At this stage I know its through the hospital providing it and will be in the John Turner building there. Starts in November.
