View Full Version : Police cuts force officers to 'prioritise' crime in Solihull

Police cuts have meant that certain low-level crimes may not receive the attention they deserve, a senior Solihull officer has admitted.

Superintendent Richard Agar, who has recently joined the borough's command team, said "the reality" of having reduced resources was that the force needed to prioritise crimes.

What this means in reality is that the police will pick and choose the crimes they investigate, which I believe is against the spirit of the law and policing in general. They are there to police without fear or favour. We are about to see many crimes that are devastating to the individual downgraded to being worth a number and no further action.
