Here we go again. Idiots crawl out of the woodwork by the thousand, don football shirts, get hammered on lager & generally cause trouble: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/world-cup-drink-drive-warning-to-warwickshire-football-fans-7049/

(Although, I am lead to believe some people actually watch the football).

Sadly, ar$eholes exist. They also kill innocents!

Well, I suppose it's better than Love Island.

Thankfully Lex, I rarely watch TV.

I remember when I decided to quit work, a contractor took me to one side and said, "Whatever you do, don't start watching daytime TV. It'll destroy your brain!" I have that particular thought about 90% of the TV shows.

Virgin knocked my door a couple of months back and made the observation that I was the only one in the block not using their service. They looked most put out when I asked them if I looked a brain dead maggot who didn't know how to amuse himself.

A Virgin salesman knocked at the door of a friend of mine last week. She took all the information, and said she'd get back to him as she wanted to compare it to her Skay package.

The next morning, her son phoned her at work, and said 'We've gone with Virgin, then?', as a couple of workmen had turned up and dug a bl---y great trench across her front lawn to put a cable in. She immediately rushed home (too late to stop the trench being dug) to ask them what what the hell they were doing. It wasn't their fault, as they were just given the work to do.

Needless to say, my friend phoned Virgin and told them exactly what they can do with their package, and they had better send someone round to sort out the mess they made of her front garden!

The ex-wife made the mistake of giving an ambiguous answer to gippo's (sorry not very PC) when they offered to do her drive. She returned home from work next day to find half of the drive dug up.

How many people expected this a couple of weeks ago?

Very few. But I think a few too many are now counting their chickens. There may well be some nasty surprises along the way yet.

Just the 3rd place game to play on Sunday, and that's that for another 4 years: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44706648
